(Otherwise known as Jagannatha Stones or Pocket Gods)
The Gospel of St. Thomas tells us:
“Split a piece of wood: I am there. Lift a stone, and you will find me there.”
God is everywhere and in everything. But one of the problems that all kinds of devotees of the Lord have is remembering Him.
The Padma Purana, an ancient Vedic text, tells us:
smartavyah satatam vishnur
vismartavyo na jatucit
sarve vidhi-nishedhah syur
etayor eva kinkarah
"Always remember God, and never forget God. All the rules and regulations mentioned in the various scriptures are the servants of these two rules (1.always remember, 2. never forget)."
So, why not carry God with you everywhere you go? Or perhaps, place Him on your alter, or give Him to a friend. Place Him somewhere that others can see Him.
Our answer to that is the God Rock or Jagannatha Stone. Lord Jagannatha, is a form of Krishna, the Supreme Lord, who is considered one of the most merciful and magnanimous representations of God. He represents Pure Love and Spiritual Ecstacy. Simply by looking at His beatific smile, one begins to smile as well, and their heart is purified.
This actually started as kind of an experiment and I painted one to try it out, shown here. (This one now belongs to my very dear friend, Charlie - along with a few others.)
Then it started getting CRAZY.....
Big Ones, Little Ones, Different Colors.....
And then they started going places, as friends and family put them all over:
On Altars:
In Nature:
(You may have to look VERY carefully to find Him!)
In Parks
Even Disneyland
Left in restaurants
and given to Friends:

First Unofficial Jagannatha Stone Miracle -
Jagannatha Stone in middle of tree |
My Friend, Mark (who provided many of these pictures from the desert, placed a Jagannatha Stone in a tree in a local park here. This is his story. "Yesterday I went back to the park Nobel Woods where I usually walk and as I entered the park someone had written "HARIBOL" using sidewalk chalk near the entrance. This was the day after I had place God Rocks up in one of the trees. As I continued along the path the same person had written Govinda Jaya Jaya, Gopala Jaya Jaya, Nrsimhadeva Ki Jai, Hare Ram and Hare Krishna. Jagannath Rocks was still where I left Him.
